Government to grant one-off GST vouchers and rebates for a total of $1.3b

Approximately 1.4 million Singaporeans will receive up to $500 in GST vouchers from June and July.

The Ministry of Finance announced that 1.4 million Singaporeans and 950,000 HDB households will receive GST vouchers from June and July.

Approximately 950,000 Singaporean households living in HDB flats are also set to receive their quarterly GSTV-U-Save rebates and special payments in July. This is a part of the $900m housing support package announced in the 2021 budget.

The special cash payment for GST-Vouchers, at $200, will be credited directly to citizens’ bank accounts starting June 23.

GSTV cash vouchers of up to $300 will be credited to citizens’ bank accounts from July 30.

Approximately 570,000 Singaporean senior citizens will receive top-ups on their CPF Medisave Accounts of up to $450 on July 30.

The total amount of these vouchers, top-ups and rebates is approximately $1.3b.
